Geordy Johnson
Geordy Johnson provides strategic direction across the various lines of business for Johnson Management and Johnson Development Associates. His role specifically focuses on the effective allocation of financial and human capital, reinforcing a culture aimed at maximizing value for all stakeholders – customers, team members, investors, and communities.
Mr. Johnson began his career as an investment banking analyst at Wachovia Securities, now Wells Fargo Advisors. Other prior experience includes working with Black Creek Group in Mexico City and Denver, BlackRock’s securitized investments team, and serving as manager of investment services at AvalonBay Communities Inc.
Mr. Johnson earned his undergraduate degree in English from Washington & Lee University, where he now serves on the Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the advisory board for the Wood Center for Real Estate Development at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business, from which he earned his MBA.
His other civic and philanthropic interests include serving as a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s Charlotte Branch and of the Real Estate Roundtable. He is also a member of the Palmetto Business Forum and has been appointed to represent South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District on the board of the South Carolina Conservation Bank. He resides in his hometown of Spartanburg, South Carolina, with his wife, Carter, and their son, Dean.
